I've posted this issue before and now I am finally getting somewhere as far as performance. What I have is a 82 FLH with what I'm able to find out is somebody's big bore kit, aftermarket cam, polished & ported heads, ( the original owner is unable to furnish any info although he built this motor, medical issues) and I recently installed a SnS "e" shorty carb. Anyway, I had stuttering problems at higher speeds and if I kept up RPM's it would clear up. The problem is I can't run flat out everywhere I go, and trust me, it will "go". So now I am jetting the carb. Started with #68 and went all the way up to a #72. which made it run worse. Then went down to a #64 with great improvement. The plugs are, upon pulling and inspecting them, a gray color. My question now is what am i looking for when I am running to lean? Plug color again, Will the motor run hotter? Dave
