Hello every one Julian I heve a question. I'm haveing a problem with my back brakes I have a accutronics master cylinder (after market) I warped my disc and fried my brake pads twice. Am I doing something wrong, I think the brakes are coming on by them selfs could it be some how heating up? It looks like the roter it sself moved over to the right it even started to rub an the bracket that holds the calaper could this be the spacing or spacers are not correct or is a set spacing? I am using dot 5 fluid. could it cloge the hole in the master cylinder got pluged? the disc was warped so that might be the problem with why it is now rubing on the bracket.

Could be a lot of reasons. Could be the spacers, could be the master cylinder, if the brakes are hanging up and the rotor gets hot it will warp the rotor. Why did you need to get the after market master? Did you have the problem before the new master? These are things the I will need to know.

check the alignment on the wheel axle adjustment.

You can have it cheap.
You can have it fast.
You can have high quality.

We could offer suggestions, but I'd go to a mechanic.

I have my own "prime directive."

"When you build up your engine, then build up your brakes even more."

As a kid I modified a 1971 Super Glide. A bike with a flimsy front end and a single leading shoe front brake. You have no idea how frightening the word "fade" truly is until you experience it.

When I press a brake--front or rear--and it acts up or makes an ominous sound, I drive slowly using the other brake and lots of downshifting on my way directly to the Harley shop.
