I have a friend that is going to help me rebuild my 2003 Ultra TC88. I just would like to have everything ready to go when he has the time to help me. Can someone guide me the right direction to get the most out of my money and time to increase power/performance?
I have an idea, but I want to make sure. I have all the extra little parts that I will need to complete this project without running to the HD store every hour.
1. Big Bore Kit. (95, 96,97, or 98) any thoughts on which one? What is all needed to complete this bolt on kit?
2. Head porting
3. Cam Upgrade (if I go with the Wood TW7H-6R cam with the Roller Link Conversion Kit will I need the Harley Cam service kit?
4. Directional lifters
5. Barnett clutch spring
6. S&S pushrod kit
7. primary chain
Am I going in the right direction and is there anything else that I might need?

First of all do you have a shop manual? Get one if you don't.
My sister has a 883 that she bought a 1200 upgrade kit for her skirtster. All the seals and gaskets came with the kit so I would expect it to have what you need.
Head porting - are you sending the heads out or doing yourself? I would suggest sending out to a port'er that has a good rep.
I have a shovel and an evo so the new twin cam stuff is new to me. (cam and directional lifters?)
I have a 30% stronger clutch plate in my evo to handle the 120 lb of torque by the 113" Ultima engine.
The evo has a special clutch tool. Not sure if the new ones have the same type/tool.
Adjustable pushrods are straight forward.
Replacing the primary chain is always fun. Compensator and basket come out together and the first breaking loose of the nut is a pain. Breaker bar and a 5 foot piece of pipe usually works for me.
Both my bikes are carb'ed so I expect that the computer control of your injectors will be in need of an upgrade after. That does get a bit spendy.
