MistaBreeze here...got pulled over last month for excessive smoke. bike got impounded for 30 days I went to jail on some old warrants. I thought the deputy was pullin my chain. Anyhow...I was totaly unaware of smoke which I later found out by my buddy who followed me home from impound yard ...he said it smokes like a mutha when I shift gears. Big puff of blue/black smoke. Sound like valve seals? Maybe even guides? Don't have the money to throw away on unnessecary repairs since the tow company got me for $600.00 and the sheriff office for $150.00 Plan on doin the work myself. Any input is appreciated. Thanx Breeze

You could try a compression/leak down test. This should tell you if it is rings or guides. While I had the heads off I would throw a new set of rings in it anyway. If it has lots of miles on it, it probably wouldn't hurt. Rings and a hone job if you can do it yourself is very cheap. If you do a valve job make sure that they put in new valves they are also cheap to buy. I do a lot of work on my own bike too. I hate to have double work. I just want to ride the dam thing, not wrench on it.

Good luck and ride safe!
Hope this helps.
