I was down in Snow Hill, NC for the week but left early for the snow storm and holiday traffic. Traffic light for a Friday evening. Drove from 5pm till 11:30, about the halfway mark and thru most of the concern able traffic area like DC, Baltimore etc.

It was 70 degrees and balmy loved it down there. Got home the following Saturday and it was 25 degrees and freezing.

What'd you do and what'd you eat?

Sounds like a nice trip. Haven't been up and down the east coast as much as I've explored the west coast. I'm starting to think about RV travel over mc travel. :icon_bang: Any rest stop and a nice soft bed - nap - snack - break and then on you go. I'm getting soft, or smart can't decide.

I was invited over to my brothers house on Thanksgiving. He makes a great big turkey and all the sides. I ate too much!! and sure enough my pants were tight for a few days afterwards. Now it's Christmas time and all the goodies again... eggnog and chocolate chip cookies out of the oven. New years will be a full week of just water and celery :icon_laughing:

Whats planned for you coming up? It's been winter here for the last couple weeks, lots of rain some frost - like the water in the bird bath gets a thin sheet on it, not what you have... frozen solid for months - thankfully. You know the main reason I resettled out here was to keep warm. I do miss watching the snow fall during a storm - something magical about hearing it snow, yeah for about a minute then I realize time to shovel/plow/deal with it, magic gone - poof. Been Fog the last few mornings, road is wet and you can't see, by 11am sunny.

Other than freezing temps, its been an okay winter. Freezing rain the other nite lead to some serious sketchy driving. Coming home i slid past my driveway and had to drive another 1/8 a mile to turn around and come back, lol.

Me and a buddy are jockeying around a ride to the west as he wouldn't be allowed in canada for nefarious reasons. Hes a God fearing man with a hell bound youth, lol. Also currently teetering on the retirement bubble. Only 64 and social security realy cuts back if taken before 66 years and 4 months. What to do what to do?

Today is the shortest day of the year. Dark late and early. BUT
It is also the start of the days getting longer.
You only have a short time to get the most retirement back, stick it out and then stick to them by living a long and happy life.
You ever make it out this way we'll round up all the locals and make some memories.
Happy Holidays!!
