This morning the sun never rose, it is currently dark because the clouds are so f'n thick

Severe thunder storms, depending what you're doing at the time,can be interesting.

Any flooding out your way?

Farther north they usually get 2x what I get here on the coastal plain. As the mountains start to rise up it squeezes out the moisture. They get the flooding in the canyons - usually flash floods. There were numerous warnings before the storms about the flash floods.
Now we wind storms - a couple days after a big wet storm we get a dry wind storm, the yin and yang of our weather out here.

As for now the radar was clear and we just got a 20 minute sun shower. This year has the makings of a wet one. All is good, the reservoirs are filling up for next summer. The more it rains the less my water bill is, one doesn't think about watering the lawn/yard/flowers/fruit trees... in December or January, Feb... but - it beats the alternative - snow blowers and freezing your azz off.
