Hello everyone,

Somebody please explain to me why they have to be so damn loud? Cars make so much more horsepower and yet are practically silent unless you rice em up. Crotch rockets are also pretty decent unless at full throttle. Yet when a harley style bike drives by my ears scream in pain. I can't stand the damn bikes, they are loud even when not accelerating that fast.

Can there not be a law relating to the amount of noise they make? Most of them are louder than fart pipes attached to four bangers.

Is it some kind of macho thing, since quite a few people who ride harleys seem to have a rather odd attitude problem.

Why do they have to be so damn loud and ear piercing?

Please help.
Thank you.

Mine is factory stock muffler and is quiet. Its a choice to make them loud once purchased. I had, in my younger days, drag pipes. Loud and you can see the flames shooting out, lol. Benefit of loud pipes is cars may say they didn't see you but they can sure hear you. Safety issue for some.

Stay in your house with the windows shut. It sounds like you don’t have much knowledge of motorcycles, metric clones with thief open exhaust sounds similar to the novice. As far as inline crouch rockets go if they have any exhaust work they are obnoxious, just sayn, DEERSLAYER
