You still chugging along on you RK?

Absolutely - she's a good ol gal. I'm getting 55 mpg on my weekend rides -with the price of fuel here in CA it helps a lot. 4 bucks a gallon for premium. Hope that bullet train to no where is worth it. :icon_bang:

How are you getting 55mpg? Carb? EFI? Breather?

I'm running the same setup I've had since I had to fix the cam bearings. Re-jetted carb with the S&S cam. Been getting 55 miles to the gallon for years now. It only gets those high numbers since the ride is all under 65mph. Once I get going over 65 it drops to 45+.

You can have it cheap.
You can have it fast.
You can have high quality.

Aha! If i keep it under 65mph i probably could get 55mph,lol. Joking...i don't know if i could or not.

6 gallon tanks get me to work for 2 weeks.

To expect to be perfect is unreasonable, to strive for perfection is reasonable.

I remember when I first started to understand that I almost doubled my mileage - I used to put 4 gallons in at the normal stop now I was putting in just over 2 gallons. What?!@ :icon_laughing:

The roads we go on are all secondary canyon carvers with speed limits 45-55mph so it's not up to me about going slow.
I totally love the extra miles per tank :icon_mrgreen:
