Just bought my first road bike...2006 Road King Classic. Friends and I rode dirt bikes (and everything else with wheels and an engine) a lot when we were younger. Lost my best friend to a motorcycle accident five days before our HS graduation, and put riding out of my mind for a long time.

I have a couple buddies that are pretty serious riders that head out west often. Talking with them has had me interested in a touring bike for a few years now, but I never seriously pursued it. GF and I took a road trip out to Red Rocks in CO for a Gov't Mule show in August, and meandered our way back home thru Wyoming and South Dakota. Northern Colorado and Wyoming made up my mind that it was time to get a bike and get on with it. Along with riding, I'm a divorced father of two wonderful daughters. We enjoy pretty much anything outdoors. As my avatar shows, I'm also a constitutional rights and firearms enthusiast...loved the election! Planning on shooting a few 3-gun matches next season. Look forward to getting to know you guys and gals.

Welcome to the forum from So. Cal.
Hope you enjoy your stay.
Always nice to see another American Patriot!!
I live in communist California, and now it costs 10 cents a bag at the grocery store, we have a back ground check for ammunition a ban on over 10 round clips (plus untold other misalignments)... I'd move but I spent the last 30 years feathering my nest and I'm not about to give it up without a fight. Plus I absolutely love the beaches, women and weather here - 12 month riding season...
Post some pics of your bike when you get a chance :icon_biggrin:

You can have it cheap.
You can have it fast.
You can have high quality.
PICK ANY 2....

Hey Willy_MN

Warm Welcome to the forum. Thanks for a real nice read about yourself. Always great to have good people here on the forum and we have many of them. Enjoy your new bike if you need any help just ask, we are always happy to help. I am a former resident of Wyoming, have traveled all over that area, that's why they call it "God's Country". Glad to hear that you got a chance to see it.

Ride Safe!
