Was a decent year. Was able to get my wife's boss to let her take a Friday and a Monday off on a couple of my 4 day weekends. I get one weekend off a month but its a good one....,4 days long. So we scheduled three 4 day weekend trips and one 9 day ride.
* weekend one we toured the Finger lakes regions...holy cow what a find. I didn't realize that between the lakes were wineries and water falls. Wow. It was a good time. Met a friend up in Geneva and who showed us around to include the awesome Glen Curtis museum. We stayed at the Golden Knight suites. Had a Jacuzzi in the hotel room..woo hoo!

* Weekend 2 we went to Caribou, Maine the back way stopping 1st at Stratton, ME for the night then Caribou, ME for the night and finally Trenton, ME. Big mistake about the back roads, the roads were freaken heinous. Frost heaves, pot heaves and ruts ruled the day. So much so by time we got to Milo, ME where we were hoping to ride rt 11 to Ft Kent we jumped on over onto I-95..75mph speed limit! Between Rangeley, ME and just before we got to Stratton we rode by a moose munching whatever by the side of the road. They are huge up close. Met a friend in Howland, ME and who showed us around stopping for a breather at his house and rode with us to Bangor, ME. And on the back roads you are in the middle of by God no where. 10 miles north of Gorham, NH on rt 16 and most of the way to Rangeley, ME you saw no one, nobody for 60 miles. That was kinda erie.
* 9 day ride we rode to North Carolina via I-91 to I-84-Delaware water gap NP-I-78 to I-81 to I-64 to I-95. got there in 2 days going down because we were in a hurry to see the grandkids but took 3 days to go back as we wanted to enjoy the moment. Had to ride 90 minutes in the pouring rain thru the mountainous windy part of I-81 south. On one stretch of I-81 I kept passing this 1% Warlock MC and his sig other on the back. Stop for gas and passed him again. The second time he chose to hang behind us until we turned left onto I-64 east. He waved bye I did the same it was good to have company for awhile.
* 3rd 4 day weekend we spend at my mothers house in RI stacking wood and cleaning her house. She is 80 and probably shouldn't be living alone but you cannot tell her. On the way home and as we were coming off of rt 2 west onto I-91 we found ourselves in the middle of over 100 jap bike riders doing wheelies at 70mph. What a bunch of assholes. They initially wouldn't let me over into the next lane, possibly forcing me to exit off the interstate. But I was in my Ram 1500 quad cab so I put my blinker on and moved over, fuck 'em. They moved and gave me proper space the next couple miles they were on the interstate. It was cool to see like a flash mob but not cool for the rudeness to the drivers

All in all was a decent riding season for 2015. Got near 10,000 miles on my new bike. Pretty much just about done for the year as weather(15-18 degrees at nite) and road conditions are getting compromised(whats wet in the day gets slippery at nite).
