Found a place in Sherman Oaks, 7 bucks a patch, not bad. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm having them take one patch from a hat, and two new ones will be 1 on jacket the other on the hat. I'm going hi arm like Keanu's so 28 bucks for the job. not bad! patch off, patch on (hat) and both shoulders

No patches yet. Disappointing yesterday. The guy called and said the jacket was done. So one week after dropping it off rode over there yesterday. And it's still not done ?????? He said the patch on the hat was embroidered couldn't do it without cutting it, etc... Didn't even put on the other one. Did nothing! Anyway, it was cold so I took the jacket and patches and left. Maybe another time. Still just a plain black leather jacket. Maybe it was meant to be.

I think I'll give it another try.
I went over to Barger's and got a (classic) HD patch
and a lead of someone who does the stitching (local).
So maybe I'll go see him on Wednesday.
Give it 1 more go-round.

Dude you look like a movie star.... oh, that wasn't you...
I can only say, that I've been an owner for over 2 decades and have yet to purchase, apply, wear, decorate, or other wise display any logos or trade marks on my person. I do have a small pin I bought when I first got my bike, in total that is it.
I don't have stickers on my car either.
Actually, every piece of HD swag I own was gifts from friends that thought I'd like it. Needless to say if you want some really nice patches let me know I sell you mine. I have one thats a large embroidered HD bar and shield that must have cost my buddy a bag of money - let me know.
You can be an owner with out patches and still love riding your bike. I wouldn't let the universes hints tell you what to do but maybe the patches aren't as important as the bike... Just sayin...
You can have it cheap. You can have it fast. You can have high quality. PICK ANY 2....

[quote="roadking"] large embroidered HD bar and shield That may be the ticket for the back of the jacket I hear you RK. Just having a little fun. A step ahead of the cobwebs... I guess it was the ride with the brits through L.A. that got the patches idea rolling... Got it done today while I waited, so cool. Stephano's in Granada Hills, on Chatsworth. 4 bucks a patch. quite the deal!

For me - it's always been about the way I feel when I ride. I'd ride naked but too many would complain As for the large patch for the back of a jacket - that was the intended use when the gift was given to me. I just feel free when I ride. I like not having any labels. I hung the patch in my man cave. For me, I guess it goes back to childhood. We all liked HD when we were kids. I had one friend that went so overboard that he ruined it for me. Now when I see grown men wearing all the logos it kind of feels fake. That's my reason for not buying into it. Can't tell you how many times I've gone up to someone draped in HD sway only to find they don't even own or ride one.

RK...patch's and their use or non use is as individually a decision as the wise choice to ride or not ride a Harley. To some a patch commemorates a memory. A destination, a moment in time. As far as feeling that it looks fake and that's why you don't....? Do you know how many motorcycle riders out there who'd love to have a Harley but chose not to so as not to be associated with the new breed of ass tools that they feel ride Harleys today? Never a good reason not to own a Harley or patch's for that matter...just thinking out loud. There's always gonna be a large contingency of posers in all things, lol. Not so much today but back in the day it was the sidewalk commando...he had all the gear like a he thought a biker had but no bike. I don't see a lot of that much anymore today do you? Of course I don't mingle much in the motorcycle community these days either.
