We made it back from our trip to Glacier with a stop in Sturgis on the way home. Going into Glacier from the west side, 29 miles of the Going To The Sun Road were open, which allowed us to almost make it to the pass at the top of the mountain. Just our luck, the pass was reopened the next day! The views at Glacier are phenomenal and I am afraid my pictures don't do it justice. I have to admit that I was a little nervous riding up the GTTS road with the steep drop off to our right. I kept thinking if a car comes around the next corner in the middle of this narrow two lane, where am I going to go. We hit light rain on 3 different days during our trip, so overall, the weather was good. In total we traveled 3918 miles during our 10 day trip. The new bike performed great and even the wife said it was the most comfortable bike we have owned. We stopped by Sturgis on Friday and it was already packed with people and bikes.

BasicCAFE883,
We visited Glacier National Park in NW Montana. It has to be one of the prettiest places in the US.

Twoiron72,
Some really beautiful pictures :icon_hat:
Thank you for sharing!!
Sounds like the new bike did you right. A happy wife...

Thanks for checking in, was hoping you had a good ride. Sounds spectacular, what a trip. You better be careful, Harley does rides like that - can't imaging where the two of you travelers would wind up...

Maybe someday I'll be able to sneak off for one like that.... probably in a nice comfy motor home :icon_clap: :icon_laughing:

Really glad you checked in - don't be a stranger.

You can have it cheap.
You can have it fast.
You can have high quality.
PICK ANY 2....

G'day mate,

Normally it is a ride around the USA and into Canada. But next year I am looking to just ride back up into the upper NY area, maybe over to the Finger Lakes which is always a good ride, up into Canada, then back down through the top of Vermont. And tah daaaahh, spend several days just slowly touring Vermont.

VT is 1 of my favorite places to ride through. Then into Massachusetts to visit my in-laws then slowly back down thru central to west NY and PA back to Florida.

To the chap who said above about heading to Glacier Nat'l Park to do the Road To The Sun, that is one of the MOST GORGEOUS roads I ever rode. You gutta, you gutta, stop and take PIXs along the way. Then pls post them here.

And the suggestion about going their via the Chief Joseph/Bear tooth roads, THAT is the way to do it!!!

Have a terrific day my friends,

BuzzCap7
