Hello, I am new to this forum and can contribute at times. I have Sportsters and Softails and occasionally a Superglide. At this time I have opened the forum to see if anyone has used and installed Progressive lowering springs in their forks on a Softail Deuce. I have used these in Sportsters and it is a snap to install, however, the install is different on the Softail. I am interested to know if anyone has installed these on a Softail without completely removing the fork tubes and if so how was the procedure and any special things to be aware of. I also would loke to know if any video's available for the procedure. Thanks for any info, smokey

Hey Smokey,
Welcome to the forum. Don't know too much about front ends so I can help you on that. Maybe someone here can.

Welcome, I have done that job many times, you have to remove the entire legs then take the tubes out of the lower leg. Then you put your new tubes in the lower legs (6mm Allen). To do this job are any job on a Harley you should have a shop manual at your side. I do a full dresser in about 3 hours and that requires removing the radio which is a lot of wok, good luck. Welcome to the forum from sunny Southern CA.
You got some great advice there - I'm a believer not only in DeerSlayers advice but the shop manual for every answer and spec.
Good luck on the repair - keep us posted on the outcome.
