Just got back from the dealer and was looking at the new water cooled bikes, of-course the dealer will tell you everything is great so you will buy one. Anyone have one of these bikes they can comment on? I think that it is a great idea. Keeping the head temp down they say makes more power. What are your thoughts?

I talked with a guy that has one - he loves it. The says it runs better than any other Harley he's ever owned - his words.
I checked it out - looks cool - no pun intended. There is a boost in hp with the cooler heads.

My personal preference is the air cooled the simpler the better way. The engine is fairly straight forward and relatively easy to work on.

The new bike is very cool - it has that touch screen nav system. The vented windshield is a nice touch.

Heard about lots of Honda VTX's going well over 100K miles

Test rode an Ultra a couple times when they first came out....like the new tour pac single release, like the beefier front end and steering head. This first year anyway they are having some issues with the water cooled system(burping). I don't like they took the use of the lowers away because thats where they put some of the water cooled comonents. On a long trip those are handy. The tour pac has a new look but its bigger. Unsure about the new fairing vent. The Ultra doesn't come with the CB. The new touch screen screams potential accident,lol. And it seemed taller in the saddle even though its the same frame? New ploufier seat?

I would stay away from the first year or 2 of a new design.

The water cooled are the real deal.More power and much cooler. Love mine.
