This past sept. 30 - I had my bike for 20 years. I still remember picking it up and the trip home. Kinda like bringing home a new puppy. The ride home was a fun new experience. I was just thinking about that day. Today, my old friend, broke something in her mill. I'm waiting for her to cool down. I didn't do anything harsh or drastic but the down shift into my street. All of a sudden she started to vibrate bad. I shut her down and coasted into the driveway. Got my helmet off - started her back up and she was really sick. I quickly shut it down.
I now know how to diagnose so I'll keep you all posted as to what I find.

Might sell my brother off if I can get enough to buy a crate motor and 6 speed tranny :icon_laughing:

I'm not upset or stressed out, :icon_bang:

If it is something for real - I'll just fix it. :icon_cheesygrin:

Right now, I'm getting a cold one and my shop manual. :icon_tea:

It will get better, sometimes they just want to F with you. Question, could it be the tranny? Seeing that it went on a downshift

I just need to put it up on the lift - pull the plugs - spin the back wheel, in 5th gear - listen... I'll know.
Been busy with all the holidays stuff. Kinda put it on the back burner for the time being. I'm hoping it has something to do with a push rod that came out of adjustment.
Got some eggnog calling my name.
Happy Holidays!! :icon_whee:

Finally got a chance to get my hands on fixing my bike.

Turned out to be something simple: Primary chain tension block needed to be replaced. Primary was slapping around a little and I caught it just in time!@!

Be riding it this season after all.
