During the daylight you can see through It - but it is a dark smoke tint. At dusk or night you would have not be able to see through it well I would say.
It is a deflector windshield - I am 5/7 and crunch down and can be blocked by the wind. A tall person would find it difficult to crunch down enough to block the wind. It blocks the wind like any windshield but their again height of the rider is a factor to consider.
