Congratulations on the new bike BI and I really like the color. I am 5'10" and ride a Street Glide because it is 1 inch shorter than the Ultra Classics. I recently sat on a new Ultra Classic Limited Low and it felt good. Here's wishing you many safe and enjoyable miles on your new bike. If you ever come through Missouri, you will have to stop and show her off to me.

Thanks. So far very enthusiastic about not just the purchase as an Ultras an Ultras an Ultra. But this Ultra is majoritively and noticeably different

At first I felt I was being punished for being short, the changes on the Ultra Lows' are significant and hence feel different. After that 100 mile ride home I embraced the noticeable changes and felt better as a rider for them. At first I thought the new handle bars were gonna be the first to go. By time I got home, nope they are staying on. I usually lower the windshield, nope it placed well below the eye line.

BI,
A friend of mine purchased a new Street Glide last year when 14's came out and swears that it handles and rides better than his 2010 Street Glide. Can you give me your opinion on the handling and ride of your new 2015 as it compares to the 2012 Ultra you owned? Thanks.

Nite and day. My 2012 was fraught with issues. The 2 main issues was I was to short and the front end.

With regard to the front end on the 2012......it was squirrly in the sweeping interstate curves and there was a 3rd gear 30mph wobble. Having taken the 2015 recently on a 2 up 400 mile ride I found my experience much better then when on my 2012. The premium shocks and heavy duty upgrade and lowered front end were solid. Solid in the high speed interstate curves and no 30mph wobble. Handled 80mph + solid.

My main focus on the recent 2 up ride was how the shocks would feel and handle the typical road bumps with 2 up and any difference in the lowered suspension. The lowering made stops a non issue. The lowering did not impact the how smooth the ride was. There were a couple places that I don't think any bikes suspension was gonna be a difference maker.

Over all I am personally finally at peace about 7 years worth of trying to feel one with my ultra. The challenge now is not to get to cocky with the bike.

I think either it was my 2012 particular or the fact the MOCO used the same front end on the frame change fron 2009-2013. MOCO swore there wasn't a problem. Then why did the beef up he front end in 2014 on up?

Oh hell yeah! At first going from my 2012 to my 2015 I initially didn't like it because it was all different from the handle bars back. The salesman was an older rider like me and he suggested ride it for awhile before changing out the handle bars. The seat was as well real different. Lower and closer to the forward position. i imediately thought this sucks, primarily because its different from what i'm usew to.

well i'm glad i took the salemans advice. both the seat and handle bars while very different from what i was use to is very complimentary to the over all ride as a short person on an Ultra.

The finance manager was a typical corporate looking guy but turned out to be to cool for school.I got 3.75 interest from HD financing, beating the local CU who was at 6.9.

my new bike will be a work in progress, needing this an that. I usually change the too tall windshield but not on this one. its perfect. i predict this new model to over sell the road glide given the incquiries and un availability of the model. lucky i snagged one early

it didn't have 300 miles on it,it only had 11 miles. so far so good.
