The dent that "Never Happened" is one that you can fix with out sandpaper.
I did a big goof last summer when I was working on my bike.
I have a big azzed dog. He has big azzed dog toys. I got him a KONG ball and if you know what that is you know it's substantial.
If you don't know what it is - think of a rubber mallet that they made into a ball. It's like tire rubber only really hard and the dog can't really destroy it... he's been working on it for a long time.
We were doing our usual thing - some pitch and fetch. I usually throw them under hand and with some juice to get some real altitude on the throws.
So I have this slimy (dog slobber is slippery stuff) rubber cannon ball that I wing but - it slipped out and WHACK the front fender on my bike was thumped!!
A big dent the size of the ball... OH SHIP!!!!
- and I didn't say ship.
I was heart broken - the dent looked awful.
Luckily it was on the curve and I had a wooden dowel the same size as the curve. I was able to wedge the dowel against the tire and push the fender back into perfect shape... Wow - talk about lucky!!
Needless to say I stopped playing around the bike after that.
It's Friday - hope you all have a great weekend.
