I'm a new Harley owner and I bought a 2006 street glide that I love! My question and I'm hoping someone could answer is about a sound I hear when I'm going about 20 to 30 miles a hour. It's a very light ticking sound and sounds like it goes away as a start going faster but when I slow down I can hear it and more so as I start going from a dead stop. I didn't know what to think and started asking around to my other Harley friends and several said it was most likly the caliper because I don't hear it when I'm at a stand still and roll the throtle. What do you all think? I appeaciate any and all responces!

thanks,
Ranger Rick

I sounds like a pad could be ticking the rotor.Sometimes a rotor can be slightly warped as well or your brake pads are offset from hanging up in the caliper. Its worth checking out.
I was going to mention that you could try changing up where you buy your gas and run 91 octane or higher. It might be pinging when under load but I really don't think so since your hearing it when your slowing down as well. :icon_sorry: Ivan
