Hey guys does a1997 dyna superglide have a tacho combined with the speedometer needle which doubles as both. Thanx rod.

Never seen a needle used for both tach and speedometer, they don't move at the same rate. I will see if I can find that mode, and give you all the info. DEERSLAYER

I remember something from way back that did that - the speedo was the tach. There were gradations next to the speed numbers for the different gears and that speed was that rpm... I can't remember where I saw it - it was many years ago.

Must of been in some junk catalog, can't do it like that. Also the old mechanical tachs were junk too. Use to be in the early vettes, when Sun come out with the super-tach, it was real rpm. Had one I'm my Cougar GT back in 67

It was on a motorcycle - years ago... sorry I can't remember which one :icon_bang:

I'm thinking it could work - with the speed vs tach - the gearing, tire size and rpm are all linked.

Slippage kills it all, in the clutch, tires, maybe the bike was a 1960 Allstate
