I have a 1998 fatboy with stock 16x3 rims 3/4 axle, does anyone know what has to be done to use a 2000-2006
rim 16 x 3 with 3/4 axle?? Looking to go with chrome rims, and there is all kinds available for 2000-06

I think the .75 axel stops at 2002 or 3. With the spokes I would not reccomend the profile wheels they look great but to check the air or put air in is a bitch. The valve stem is in the middle of the rim and because of the rotor and pulley on the rear wheel it is difficult to access . At least on the front you have only one rotor so that would not be a problem, with my bike I have 2 rotors up front and it is a problem. For the fit of the wheels I see no problems just check the offsets of the hubs to be sure. You would also be going to the sealed bearings which are great, I haven't changed one yet with 206,000 miles on the bike but I have 2 sets of cast rims. The profile wheels I don't use much due to the access problem. Would hate to check the air away from home. Good luck

what Im looking at are the stock chromed exchange program wheels, they have some pretty good pricing on 2000- 2006, but get pricey on the older ones, I just wondered how much difference there is. Thanks for any help
