RK, When you first start out training you take it slow...and hydrate hydrate hydrate. I'm sorry you dropped your bike...been there done that a few times. It sounds like a simple matter of you over doing it,got degydrated and didn't get fully hydrated before you went out and about. Bike okay?
Thanks BI,
you are 100% right - start slow and keep hydrated - I know these things (just trying to jumpstart the process - it bit me in the ass...)
Yes!! the bike and me are both ok. The bike got a very small scratch on the motor guard and another on the bag guard... those suckers work!! The back tire now has no chicken strip on the right side -LOL!!
As for the diet and exercise routine- I used to (20 + years ago) race bicycles pro/am. I've been doing this bit for over 3 decades = I know better!!
I was just getting used to the cooler weather - this heat wave as nice as it is and appreciated - just threw me off.
Thanks for the concern. I hope everyone has a very safe year this year - seems like its going to be one of those years though. I am now 100% behind your reasoning for waiting till next year for your epic trip BI. Seem like it's been something every day so far - starting with getting home on new years eve and breaking a favorite dish while washing it at 3am... breaking parts on my bicycle that I've had for over 20 years... loosing shit on rides... I can't wait till this is all behind us and I can only hope we all live through it.
Stay well my friend - keep your lucky charm handy - looks like we are going to need it.
As for the s/c idea - I guess a tricycle is the new idea - after all, I started out on one all those years ago... makes sense I'll finish on one of them... then comes diapers I guess.
