is anyone making a large gas tank like the newer '04 & later to fit a 2000 sporty? (that doesn't cost arm and leg)

While I was gassing up yesterday - a guy came into the station and bought a 1 gallon gas can - when the clerk said $10 bucks - I chimed up and asked if it came filled for that price???

You can have it cheap.
You can have it fast.
You can have high quality.

2014 harley sportster iron 883

slow, too many points on my driver license, but perfect bike for me, i have to slow down or lose my license. i do love the retro ride. i have had it almost 3 months now and ready to tweak it.

i am thinking cutting the pipes in half for some loud noise and painting them flat black to match the bike, not a chrome fan, i have used BBQ paint in past, works fine, not a pro job, but its black.

i am also thinking flat handlebar (drag bar etc whatever you want to call it) for a more aggressive sitting position, the front turn lights got in my way of tightening the side mirrors (they come loose quickly) so i tossed out the ancient looking front turn signals, will probably replace them before inspection with other lights down lower toward front wheel, we'll see.

also not a fan of the side mounted license plate, i am looking to take that off too and just slapping it on the back of the back fender. i think that is it for this bike, at 8500 bucks. i like it, its cheap, its fun, and not a big investment, maybe next year i will upgrade to a harley breakout.

i wonder if the just cutting pipes in half would work out ok, i am willing to take the chance to save money, and if it turns out bad i will buy some new ones.

the side mounted license plate looked cool for a while but for some reason i just don't care for it, not the end of the world, the little light on it is also feminine, then again this bike is perfect for a girl. but since i am poor i will continue to ride it until i get some big boy money.

i started with a ninja 600 at 15 years old 1985 model, then a FZR 600, then FZ6, then FZ1, GSXR 1300, GSXR 750, CBR 1000, last ticket was a year ago 138/65, stand up hook up shuffle to the door, speed rocks, i don't mind dying. if i had it my way i would still be on the 1300 sports bike, its fast and loud, people get out of the way, so i can get to work. lot of sissies out there, but i am the first to stop to help someone, especially a lady or young folk.

Yeah - I'd have to agree with that.
