I have a total of 4 Drift Cameras 2-Stealth HD170's and 2 Ghost have never had an issue with any of the cameras. But the last 2 weeks my oldest Ghost on a couple of occasions wouldn't turn off so i had to take the battery out to get it to work. Noticed the battery was super tight in the camera and had to shake it like a ketchup bottle to get the battery to come out. Was putting in a new micro sd card in my new Ghost and the battery just pops out when you open the cover. So i took the old cameras battery out and noticed it was slightly swollen. Ordered a new battery for it and put it in the camera yesterday slipped in and out easily. Sent Drift Innovation an e-mail letting them know of the problem. Got an e-mail this morning letting me know to attach proof of purchase and they would send me out a new battery. So it looks like i'll have a spare battery. But :icon_thumbsup: :icon_thumbsup: to Drift.

Heres the e-mail i sent i was really just curious if anyone else had had the same problem.

I use my camera hooked to a 12V outlet on my motorcycle. The last couple of weeks the camera wouldn't turn off so i had to take out the battery to shut it off. Recently bought a second ghost and noticed how easy the battery just popped out. The older camera i had to shake like a ketchup bottle trying to get the last drop out before i could get the battery out. Noticed it was a little swollen so i ordered a replacement that i got in today and it slipped into the camera very easy.Hope this solves the problem. Was just wondering if mine was an isolated incident.

Thanks,
Joseph Wells III

This was the response e-mail i got.
Hi Joseph,
Thank you for contacting support with your challenge. We have seen this a few times and in such cases we will replace the battery for you.

For a replacement battery can you please forward me a copy of your proof of purchase attached to this email and your postal address, I will then be able to send you out a replacement one.

Cheers,
David.

Yeah - you did a good job :icon_thumbsup:

You don't even realize how polite you are - and that works.

I'm waiting for the day I come out of the house and I catch you putting some suction cup mount on my bike so you can get a different angle :icon_whee:

Used a suction cup mount once on the bike hit a big hole and it fell off...Good thing i had attached a safety cable to it it was hanging for a couple of miles. I do have a rubber lined strap mount we could put on one of your forks...
