I am negative about reunions. In my defense, over the last 2 years knowing my 40th was coming up next year and I haven't been back to my home town to visit or stay in touch with anyone since graduating in 1974 I got on FB and contacted as many as I could which was quite a few and arranged multiple meet and greets locally for them and a 3 hour ride for me. Hoping by reacquainting we can make the 40th a better experince.
There was minimum to no interest in person or on FB, same as it was back in high school. Its a small school and a small town. My 2 best freinds had over the years died of drug OD. I ended up making an ass out of my self so I deactivated the FB page and resigned myself that things are as they always and I am not going to my 40th.
I was from the area, I was a military brat transplant and had only be in the area a total of 7 years when I graduated and left. I was initially excited and enthusiastic about seeing everyone again but soon realized it was one sided. And I am cool, it is what it is.

Not everyone's HS experience was a grand one - I've missed every re-union so far, not so much on purpose but geographically unable, it's almost 3000 miles between us. I kept in touch with the people I love. I do my best to keep in touch to this day - but as the years and all the miles in between seem to put us farther apart is seems that the distances are growing.

my high school experence was about as bad as it could be without going to jail for a long time. I quit in the 10th grade, but the 50th reunion was great, I never thought that many people would hunt me down to say hi and talk to me. LIFE IS GREAT, DEERSLAYER

I'm glad I did take the time to look into old high school classmates status quo prior to the 40th. I would have wasted time and money going to the 40th. Most have lived there for generations, I'd popped in for 6th grade-12th grade only.
I'm cool. Did get to chat up a couple of my old gf's from HS for a brief moment and seen recent photos of them..alls I can say is phewwwww good move on my part getting outta there, lol. One poor sucker married one of my old HS GF's an they have 4-5 daughters together. He is a devoted father and husband and she is banging anything with a dick, damn! He caught her once, forgave her and took her back. She's still doing it. Come to think of it thats why we'd broke up back in the day..she liked a baseball player better while we were supposedly "going out." And man did she age heinously.

We're both pretty beat up and tired. She works 52 hours a week and I 54 hours. It was the best getting out for the day on the bike. We had to practice getting off and on the bike with Karen as this is the first ride this year for her and I. Its a technique of timing. Best not to hover mid straddle, lol.

Yeah - there you go - no hovering!! I've had to teach a few ladies how to get on and off - Some get it and no matter what you do, some just can't do it right. I had one old girlfriend that was so good at it and at riding in the back that there were times I forgot she was back there. Then the others that you actually thought they'd send us off into a ditch!! Looks like I'll have the seat booked for the next couple weeks now that the bike is pretty much proven it's not going to fall apart during a ride - Over the summer I promised a few lady friends a ride down PCH. This past weekend the weather started it's Autumn change over and cooled down 15 degrees. With that comes the fog - Saturday night coming home from the Halloween party I had to drive the last 2 miles home at 10 miles an hour cause I couldn't see the road. Sundays ride started in what was left over from that. I hope Weljo keeps some footage of the fog we went through in his upcoming video.
