+1 on waiting for all the problems to be worked out.
Waiting also give's you a chance to decide if you really need that new shiny thing or just really, really want it.

I'm chosing to live with mine despite my feelings of suspect about the front end. I think possible that kicking out the front end to accomadate the new frame and a 17" front wheel is causing a little front end wobble here and there.

New is nice, but the payments aren't. When you see how much the value drops when you roll off the parking lot you really got to want what you got. I want a new bagger, but more than likely I'll get a used Ultra.

My 2005 FXDWG has a low speed wobble if you take your hands off the bars, similar to how you described yours (on decelleration from 40 or 30). I have felt the high speed wobble as well. I noticed sometimes on the old Heritage at high speeds. I think the high speed wobble was due to the tire cupping... i think. After a new set of tires it wouldn't do it for a while.

I really appreciate you sharing that. It was hard not feeling crazy...dealerships say "Its fine and w/in HD specs and you're not suppose to drive with your hands off the handle bars." No shit dick tracy but I feel a wobble transfers and thats not good in the long haul...

If they were able to fix it once - you might be able to figure out whats wrong with it eventually.

I personally think its related to the newly kicked out front end to accomadate the 17" wheel on the new frame change on the E glides. It comes and goes. Its almost ghost like,subtle but its there.

I feel as a consequence of extending that front end it caused a modicum of front end wobble that didn't use to exist. Rather that if the front end was in more rather than out, the front end would have of a more up and down motion rather then that up and down motion being chipped away and compromised by the newly extended front end.

My WG does exactly what you described, but the two bikes are not in the same design family. The older bikes... specifically the FXR's were well known for how true they were to the road. I have heard that put several ways, but the frame was stronger than the current FXD's... or at least more stable. My brother would sit on the passenger seat, kick his boots up on the gas tank and cross his arms... it was that stable. I think the old FLH's were that way as well.

Its a liveable issue. I don't like it and it does get a smidge sketchy at high speeds especially in the corners.

I can attest to the stability of the older platform - I have put my feet up on my highway bars - and leaned back - let go of the handle bars and held on to the bag guards and ridden for many slab miles on my bike - without - any wobbles or problems. I get so comfortable I have to NOT fall asleep.

This is one of those instances I was referring to - not all improvements are an improvement. Maybe some one will realize a fix or just put it back to the proven formula it was...
