Just got a phone call yesterday from badinfluence63, he's away from his computer for a couple weeks and wanted us all to know he said hi to everyone. I told him about my engine ailments and some of the things going on here at the forum. He said when he gets home he'll catch up.

Have a good one badinfluence63 - looking forward to your return and some tales of your travels when you get back.

Really nothing to report....10 year old grandson lives in NC and drove truck to Maryland to meet daughter and her shit stain sig other 1/2 way. Was pushing for 4 weeks but she would only agree to 2 weeks.

The deal/black mail was I had to be civil to her sig other in the exchange or we couldn't get the grandboy (alledgedly because our on going antagonism negatively impacts the boy...I say bullsh*t).

The exchange went well. I didn't speak, he didn't speak and that was the best I could do.

The next 2 weeks were filled with "Polar Caves", Chuckie Cheese, Go cart races, Fun Spot, the beach, Fishing in the ocean(he caught a fish),riding his 4 wheeler with his 5 yo cousin all over my 12 acres, dinosaur exibition in Essex jct, tractor rides in the bucket loader, visiting family and cousins, motorcycle rides, mini golf etc...

Heading to Delaware to make the exchange, I get to Hartford,CT and I get a call from my daughter and they are having car trouble and are 2-3 hours behind. I suggest calling it a wash and letting us have grandboy another week, she agrees. Grandboy elated. We head back home. I suggest another 2 weeks or until my next weekend off. At first she is saying no way but then I told her I will bring the boy all the way down. Win-win for everyone, she agrees.

So I don't get much 2 wheeled riding in but I really enjoy bringing much needed attention and happiness to my grandkids. And he doesn't want to go home.

Hey BI - sounds like great news for you and the grand son!!
I wouldn't want to leave either from the look of that picture - Disney land has got nothing on the memories you're giving them!!

I can lift them about 10 foot in that bucket. :icon_eek: . They each have there own 4 wheeler and I have 12 acres of 4 wheeler park for them to ride. I let the pasture grow over the summer and cut an oval in it and a figure 8 in the middle of the oval for them.

HAven't ridden much in these couple weeks and God knows the weather has been absolutely steller. Perfect riding weather. Mid to upper 70's, blue skies and slight breeze......

Those kids will be grown up and have a head full of great memories - you'd forget half the miles you put on your bike if you rode it.... I think the bike can wait - those kids will only be that age and this time with them will only happen once in a life time. :icon_whee: enjoy the kid in you.

You are an awesome grandpa BI. I don't have many memories of my youth, but I do remember my grandpa taking me to the wrestling matches, riding my Honda xr75 up and down his street for hours, going to the movies, and going on vacation with my grand parents. Those are some of the best (and few) memories of my youth.

Its been great having them the last 3 weeks. One more week to go. And they don't want to go home.

I hate to say this: but the saddest ones are going to be you and your old lady once the house gets quiet again... Enjoy them while you got them!!

Looks like your all having a great time. I've got eight grand kids, and two more on the way.
They really are the light of our lives. Looks like your grand kids are going to have some great stories to tell.
