"Ball-game" :icon_laughing:
I know that for those outside of CA - it seems like we're all crazy for splitting lanes here and even more for bumping a mirror here and there - but if you ask any rider out here there are very few that can say they've never bumped a mirror - and no we don't do it on purpose. I can only say that I take my time splitting - and I even do the wiggle walk to get my bike in between the tight spots but it happens and it very rarely does any damage to either the bike or the car. We have some very arrogant drivers out here that get very very angry at the though of someone "getting past" them. I personally have had MANY drivers pinch the lane shut so I can't get by and I just wait until the traffic spaces out or I go on the other side of them. But after so much time out here as a motorcyclist it gets old quickly and I just go for it. Tap a mirror and move on.
That sunday I tapped a mirror at the stop light, I was wiggle walking my bike and just touched the mirror - I smiled at the kid in the car shrugged my shoulders and then pulled in front of him I turned and looked over my shoulder and he gave me the - "its ok look" I just went on with my day. It's just how things go out here in the land of Holly-weird"...

I think lane splitting is a great idea especially in dense packed area's. It sucks getting stuck n bumper to bumper traffic on a bike.
I also think it should be done in a responsible and courteous way. There's way to many high strung idiots on the road just waiting to pass along there bad day.

I know it may not sound like it but in truth I do my best to always ride that way. What goes around comes around...

I'll tell you what Weljo, RK, I understand that splitting lanes is legal in CA but you do that here and odds are someone will open a door on you or cloths line you, or shoot you or something not good and when the police get there they will give you the ticket for splitting lanes. :icon_sos:. They've talk about legalizing lane splitting out here but allot of guy out here say they wouldn't do it even then. Phoenix and Tucson are very dangerous places for motorcycles.

If it becomes legal out by you - take advantage of it - fed's have stats that it is safer than sitting in traffic.
