Nice day on the bike - it got really hot out - 109 in the shade in the afternoon. My mesh jacket works great - I got the silver one and it really reflects the suns heat away. I also went with the modular helmet and believe it or not it was actually cooler inside the helmet with the visor down then with it open... I wouldn't believe it if I didn't experience it myself. I opened the visor and the hot air hit me like opening the oven door - I closed it back down and the air coming through the vents was cooler... go figure.
We let the idiots go in the front group - so much nicer without them - we rolled in our own little pack, had a great trip. Took in the scenery and relaxed with some really good people.
If you listen to the guy standing next to Weljo in the restaurant, he actually says he rides like an asshole... and yes he was in the front group -
