Thanks guys, been enjoying it so far, now if it would quit raining around here I may enjoy it more...by the way found the source of the "noise", it is the chrome cover for the forward exhaust, haven't figured out how to make it stop yet, but at least I know its not something in the motor.

If it is like mine was, all you have to do is tighten the hose clamp that holds it on. At worst, you will have to change the clamps.

Sorry Joe, didn't think you needed to have that part explained to you... I've been doing this stuff for so long I forgot what it's like to be a new owner... :icon_winking:

I don't think he did, I just threw it out there just in case.

It's like when the clothes dryer was making this noise like popping popcorn. It worked, but it made that aweful noise. I looked it up on the net and it was pretty easy to fix it (almost as easy as the heat guard)... but you don't know what you don't know. :icon_thumbsup:

Hey KS,
I know what it's like to be be-fuddled... it is very frustrating!! We all are in this together - any help - is better than no help at all... I'm just glad I/we are able to help each other through it.

I/We are happy to help - I get a kick out helping - who knows I may just find myself scratching my head trying to fix a yz250 someday and you can bet I'll be asking you for your 2cents!! :icon_razz:

I don't think so...I've seen you, the YZ 250 doesn't have enough suspension :icon_laughing: :icon_laughing: :icon_laughing:
