1991 Ultra runs great for 5 minutes. Then backfires spits and have to limp home. Carb rebuild. No left TS. no gas guage. Maybe sensor??? Any ideas?

sounds like it doesn't come off the cold circuit, Thought they didn't. have sensors for carburation. If you do can disconnect the wire for the cold circuit after 3 minutes, see if it is good then. You said the carburetor was rebuilt, the question is, is was it done correctly? Can you borrow a carb that is known not to have issues and try that, if you have no problems buy a new carb

Thanks for the info. sounds right about cold circuit. Can you tell me which way the needle is supposed to be in carb? might be updide down. Thanks
