We had a great time this week.
Did a bunch of "Tourist Stuff"... Went to see the big Boats.
First we stopped at the Queen Mary, seems they were having the "Ink and Iron Event"...
All I know is a bunch of Tatted up folks were all milling around and getting ready to go into the event while we were sight seeing... a couple of those gals had more than a hand full, check the pics Weljo2001 posted - HeHe

After the Queen Mary we headed over to the USS Iowa for a photo op and hung out for a while just checking out the ship from the shore. Impressive every time I see it.

Next on the itinerary - The Korean Friendship Bell. Given to the USA from the people of South Korea to commemorate the Bi-Centennial in 1976 and to further the friendship between the 2 countries.

Just down the street from the bell is a great little restaurant "The Light House Deli/Cafe". Really good food - big portions and good service. Tight on parking - we ate on the side walk - we didn't want to wait for indoor seating. Nice place - I'd go again.

After lunch we went out to Rancho Palos Verdes to the over look. Great view of the coast side of LA. Wish I'd brought my binoculars to see a better view of the city and the sail boats. We hung out and BS'd for a while and then as it always does time caught up with us and we headed home.

This was the first ride we've done where we weren't in a hurry, maybe cause we didn't really go that far, less travel time. Or, as I'm inclined to think the people on the ride weren't in a hurry to get back home... at least that was my case.

Really great ride, great people. I'm lucky to have come across this group - I appreciate all the efforts that go into it.
