Okay so I'm interested in a cafe biker jacket. There are plenty to choose from. The problem is although I do like the cut of the cafe jackets I can't find any with the visible zippers for that hardware look that the large collar biker jackets have. I've spent many hours searching so if anyone has a suggestion please let me know.
Basic style I like is the Schott 141, 641, and 644.

I have a jacket just like that - that's the look. Cafe jackets don't have all the pockets/zippers the hiway jackets have. I have a hiway jacket too - different cuts and purposes. The cafe jackets - minimalist, basics - usually one chest pocket - for smokes. IF they have hand pockets - usually on the side seam /buttons or zippers are hidden so not to scratch your paint.
Hiway jackets have several pockets - map, hands, smokes, lighter.... along with snaps for collar and some pockets - shoulder epaulettes w/ snaps.
I've never seen a cafe jacket with any of the "hardware" you're looking for.
Too completely different styles - you can however get a hiway jacket and take it to a tailor and have them modify it to your needs/tastes. I think the collar could be cut down to cafe style and the rest is what you're looking for.
My 2cents.

You can have it cheap.

Wow never thought of getting a highway one modified to a cafe collar. I'll look into that and see if it seems like it would work.

Thanks.

I've kept an eye on different things others have done with those hiway jackets. Remove the sleeves- make a vest, out of a jacket - it's been done so often that the jacket companies now make them.

You can always do that and have the cafe jacket under the vest. The cafe jackets have a very close fit so it would work, I have seen it in real life.

You can remove the vest at any time and still have a full jacket on. Guys I know do that in the cooler weather.

Keep us posted - always nice to get a thank you - you're very welcome.
