I drive a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi. Lately the milage has dropped off tremendously. Question I have is what is a really good EFI cleaner for my truck's EFI? Anyone have any idea?

3M has a professional kit that works well. Have you looked at other possible problems like plugs or wires?

I used gumout mostly every 5k and I've tried a few other brands, milage still declined on my 2005 ford 150 at 60k I had to replace throttlebody. Not due to using cleaners it was defective. At 100k I was getting about 13mpg in city, down from 16 when it was new. I was going to replace plugs and wires next. Mechanic at dealership warned me that 8 out of 10 they service the plugs snap off and have to be drilled out. I don't know if dodge has same issue's. I ended up trading the truck off on a marono. I don't know much about working on these new auto's, but I do think a good set of plugs and wires will make a big difference. Good luck and let us know if you find something to improve your mpg's

Thanks for all the tips. I'll try the least expensive thing first(EFI cleaner) then go from there. Its getting close to the second major go thru first one being at 30,000 miles so it may be a case of any number of things including plugs and wires and who knows what else. Sure hate to have to drill the plugs out, dang.

I think snapping off the plugs is more of a Ford thing. they use the little plugs and the aluminum head of the modular engine they lock right in there. I always use antisieze when doing plugs, have for years or should I say decades.

Snapping plugs - that's a friggin nightmare.
Gumout brand stuff works for me. I did the treatments to my GF's car - after a couple bottles and tanks of gas it really did run better. She's still running the same plugs.
You can have it cheap. You can have it fast. You can have high quality. PICK ANY 2....
