The Packers are set to play the Bears this afternoon, one of NFL's longest match-ups, spanning 181 games. And the long-running association is about even. Today, however, the Packers are favored by 3.5 points, and I hope they win for several reasons.
One, they're my team and I want to see them in the Super Bowl. Yeah, yeah, once again I root for my "colors." Heck, it's been a long dry spell.
Second, as good as Aaron Rodgers is, he has been haunted by the shadow of Brett Favre. As the new breed, many criticized him for not being experienced. These same folks have a short memory. The first few years Favre was our QB, the team only played for three quarters. The first quarter was wasted as Favre threw the ball all over the field, fought Holmgren, and gave away far too many interceptions. It took him a full quarter to settle down.
Rodgers has been good from day-one, and never a prima donna.
Finally, they deserve to be there. They came back as a wild card, and are literally the best team playing. I'd like to see guys like this get Super Bowl rings.

we all need to thank the packers. if the bears would have won, obama said he would go to the game. that's okay just something else you get to pay for. i mean air force one, the cars, security not to mention all the other cost of bringing the family.

Not to mention the expense of finding a Kenyan interpreter at the last minute to explain to him this isn't soccer...

To expect to be perfect is unreasonable, to strive for perfection is reasonable. 2015 Ultra Classic Low.
