Since here last i been retired a couple years. I winter in NC. I’ve taken a couple epic rides since retiring. Tyler, texas. Memphis,Tenn. New Orleans. Williamstown,KY.Bills Bike barn. Myrtle beach. To name a fee.

Not going this winter. Got business keeping me here. I hate. NC one can ride every day. What you been up to?

Hey Bad,
So far so good.
Still walking upright, with a strong gate. Working as management these days. No time to ride, now that winter time is here. Night riding here is challenging with the quality of drivers on the road. Weekends are filled with all the chores that used to get done during the week-as you know.

Getting ready to retire and relocate to a neighboring state, NV or AZ. With dry roads and warm weather.

This place was on a direct downward trajectory since i got here back in the 1980's. Lately you'd think this was a different country, not the usa. I have to tell you the last few years have been the fastest change. we're about 100 miles from the border and a great destination for imports/crime of all types.

Nice to see a friendly face back here- I check in weekly still.

Retired now 4 years, its great to have my life back. I road mor3 the first couple years retired going to tyler,texas one time. Another trip to NO and Memphis one year. The next year to Myrtle beach and Bills Bike Barn in Bloomsburg,PA the next year. The last two years been focusing on tightening up property.

The worls is upside down like never before. Get out and retired before its too late.

I agree 100%. The world is at a tipping point more now than ever in history. Careful where you get your information. Up is down and news is lies.
I do a lot of fact checking for work and life. All i can say - i've personally caught the "news" straight up gas lighting me too many times to count anymore.
I'm overdue to get going. I have my brother here and pretty much the only reason i've stayed this long. I plan on getting a place where he'll eventually settle near by.

By the way - I bought 2 of the ebikes from here, one for me and one for my brother - WOW- I smoke every other ebike on the beach - out here ebikes now outnumber bicycles. I looked all over and the one they have here is by far the best one i have ever seen. We've taken them to the top of local mountain a bunch of times now. uphill for 12 miles. THEN downhill for 12 miles 30+ mph on some safe sections- lots of fun. I'm headed down to the beach today - 75 and sunny. I still enjoy the weather here-for sure. Rain all next week for the start of the rainy season - everything turns green for a couple months.

Well it is that time of year again. One more year in the side mirror. Keep upright and warm. All my best to you and yours.

Hopefully you have shored yourself up financially before you retire. Thats the tricky part. We’re 1/2 way into our 4th year and doing well. You’ll notice you cant do as much or as fast as you once could but becuae you’re retired you dont have to be fast or do as much. Yoh have all the time in the world now.

At this point - the years are starting to add up - I do a lot more thinking before taking any actions. I love the climate here, second to none. Winters get chilly, some frosty mornings but by mid day, mostly sunny highs in the 60+ range daily. Some rain, very rare flakes -once in 1987. It is the only thing about this place i will miss. I'm planning a place with better air/water/housing/roads/ etc. I've been itching to do some exploration to areas i see on the map that look wonderful. I just need to see if they really are. North Carolina - looks nice, along with some of the mid west states and the west is still very high on the list. I'm thinking a small travel trailer and comfy suv to pull it. Drop it off and roll around. A motor home is more convenient to travel in but a beast to drive everywhere. Either way do some seeing and then make a decision where I'll settle next. The fun is in the journey.
