Doing some home improvements, yard work, clutter sorting and the busy work I never have time for. Not that I have work off, just all the errands and running around not essential stuff that we have to stay home from. Lucky I was brought up by an old school vet. we were always prepared for anything. I do my best to keep it that way. Never had to go to the store and fight for supplies, always well stocked food and dry goods, plenty of dry ammo.
Local report: most of the grocery/big box stores were barren when I finally poked my nose out cause I needed some fresh milk. That was March 8.
I have since gone 2 times to the Sam's club for meat seems I can buy with all the limits about 2 weeks of a variety of foods and still eat healthy while we wait this thing out.
Standard OPs:
I mixed a gallon jug of disinfectant bleach and water solution I carry in the trunk of the car.
I park on the outer edge of the parking lot away from all the other cars.
I keep the interior of the car clean/sterile.
I get out of the car, put on my rubber gloves, pop the trunk.
Go get a cart, bring it back to the car, wash it down with bleach water - all handles and surfaces I touch or might touch
Stow the supplies in the trunk.
Shopping is keeping distance from others, not breathing their air.
I get what I need and get out quick as I can. Less exposure is less chance of getting anything.
back to the car.
pop the trunk, grab the hand sanitizer -
first my hands, then the keys, anything I touched gets a wipe down with either the bleach for surfaces that don't get hurt by bleach or the hand sanitizer. Once I know I have clean hands I pop the car open load groceries, do another hand wash before I touch the steering wheel to leave.
Once home, park the car, go inside and wash my hands in the sink, then my face and do a real good job with the soap.
Park my outer jacket, hat, glasses, mask now mandatory.
wash again just incase something was on my clothes? who the f knows?
I do know this:
It is a shit load easier being NOT sick and doing all I can to not get or give it, then getting it, giving it to my family and friends and worse.
Be safe, go figure - times have changed.... Its safer to ride a motorcycle than go to the store for food.
I Hope All are Well and Safe, Happy Holidays: Passover and Easter!!
