Well history has been made. Brit's have voted to leave the European Union. The reasons I've seen are pretty simple, they're tired of having to carry the weight of rest of the countries. I read that one of the main reasons was immigration. Too many people waiting for handouts. I see this every day here in California and across the United States.
I've personally been effected by illegal immigration in more than one way. We have a welfare state here. Our elected officials keep giving our tax money away to people that don't have any right to it. Health care, drivers licenses, education, jobs, etc...
I think the Brit's have the right idea. Thankfully the supreme court shot down Obama's attempt to give more than 5 million illegals the welfare and rights they don't deserve.
California's Gov. Brown gave them drivers licenses - and - welfare. No problem, I decided to stop working and go on welfare too. Life is great now. I can sleep in, watch TV all day and get my rent, food and medical care for free. Gotta love the Democrats!!!!!!!!!
I'll go back to work when Trump gets elected and deports all the illegals. I'll have work at least.

Hi RK ,yeah we are out, but at the moment the country is in turmoil, the prime minister has resigned, half of the labour cabinet has also resigned causing in fighting and bitterness.those that lost are calling for another referendum. We are out of Europe now, time to take our country back.it will take a couple of years to sort but we will get there .half of Europe have fallen out with us ,but at least we have our friends in the USA that we can trust to stand by us! Now we can control our borders and can stop paying corrupt officials in Brussels.I think that more will follow now we have opened the door.

Hey Rod, I started this thread in hopes you'd be able to shed some light on what is going on, so thanks for the reply. I read the news here but it seems our media is just as corrupt as our politicians that own it. Everything is a spin on the truth. The headlines say one thing and the articles say another. Our presidential race is a joke this year. How a corrupt cereal liar can get a nomination knocks me over. But that's another story completely. First, I hope everything works out for your country. I've always liked the people from Great Brittan. They seem to have a great handle on things, the cars and bikes are some of the best. I've had many British cars over the years, MG's, TR6's, I had a buddy with a jag that had a chevy V8 in it. We have a Triumph Daytona in the family, my favorite bike to ride. All that said - it seems GB is the heart of Europe. I often wondered why The EU even existed, and how GB got talked into joining it. A few years ago I read about Greece going bankrupt. Like poor folk with a new credit card, they just spent like no tomorrow and when the bill came due they shrug their shoulders and say "we got no money!!". Corruption in politics is ruining the entire world. Our 2 countries are reeling from bad leadership. The world I grew up in pre 1980 is gone. Illegal immigration has ruined so many of the wonderful places and things that once existed. You mention your borders, we also have that problem here. Our current politicians can't give our country away fast enough. They pander to them in hopes they will become loyal voters in the future. The problem is our media portrays them as heroes and the robot masses can't see the truth. We have run away inflation, everything cost 2x more now than 8 years ago. No mention of that in the news.... Keep us posted on how things are developing in GB. We all hope the best for you and your people.

Hey thanx RK, lots of common sense in there.here it goes from bad to worse,a party leader that has lost most of his cabinet,no chance of winning the next election and still he won't resign.no matter what party it is they are only in it for themselves, they lie and cheat and treat ordinary people like idiots, and when those people have had years of austerity while the rich and privileged get fatter and when those ordinary people say enough is enough we want our country back ,the privileged start squealing and demand another referendum.who said power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely? How true is that.we have two main parties, conservative and labour and I wouldn't trust one of them to speak the truth, unless they would benefit by doing so.pretty much the same whatever country you live in.good cars, good bikes in both our countries brother, when it all gets too much you can't beat a lone ride on a Harley. Take care all. Rod.

Don't know much about it but if it stems the tide of the influx of terrorist into their country then I'm for it.

It's not going good ,remain politicians calling for second referendum, scaremongering and delaying tactics.the government don't seem to know what they are doing, you can always rely on politicians to be two faced and lie when it suits them, brexit means brexit, just accept the referendum results and get on with it. It will happen and the sooner the better.

I've read actual stories that are made up about Trump. The news seems to pick only the stories of horror and mayhem that keep people scared. The politicians have an agenda to take away the guns here. So the news only seems to report about gun violence and innocent people getting shot. As for "Brexit" you are our reporter. I can firmly state that Politicians are the same in every country. Liars and cheats that expect special treatment and feel they are above the laws of "common folk". I wish you well my friend. I hope the people of GB get this problem resolved soon. Keep your head low when the bullets fly.
