Went out Sunday with my 2 riding buddies and rode with a group we used to ride with out to Lake Cuyamaca. Its just out past Julian. Weather started off cold once off the Ortega Hwy in Lake Elsinore it was time to take off any extra clothes because the weather was perfect. Then getting close to julian the temperature dropped big time. Glad i had the heated grips. Its was a really good ride with some good folks and food but the pie was below average.:) Leaving Julian it got really windy blowing people all over the road.

The ride was 50/50 -

After some cluster - f'n with a rider I never rode with - I got it figured out... :icon_idea:
Give 'em plenty of room :icon_bang:

I see you removed the stop sign antics - I was hoping to see those - maybe do a highlight reel - what not to do!!

The ride there was chilly to say the least - the temps varied by nearly 30 degrees - 75 in the sunny warm part and 45-50 going up the shady side of the mountain in the wind. The winds seemed to come up from no where, then all at once they'd broadside you with a rush of cold air. Of course this is after we all peeled off our under layers cause it was so nice just 30 miles earlier. So we were slightly chilled by our lunch stop.

Once we got to lunch everything was great -
Hot coffee to chase the chill out.
A great big burger and fries to fill the belly.
And the sweetest girl I saw all day - Kim, our waitress - gave me a big hug on the way out :icon_swoon:

We posed for a group shot and got on our way - we were running late - and the days are about as short as they get all year so we needed to get back on schedule if we were going to get the worst of the trip done before dark. We rode back with our group for a short leg and they stopped to get fuel we waved our farewells.

We did a pit stop not far down the road. It was gusting pretty good. A rider getting gas behind me had his glove blow off his bike and land next to me 15 feet away. We rode a perpendicular road to the wind for a short distance. You can see in the video our bikes riding at a side angle. It was pretty weird having the bike being blown like that. But at no time did I feel out of control or have a hard time keeping it on my line.

Couldn't Catch A Break - the ride home was just traffic and more traffic.
We all took a shot at getting through it but didn't take long to realize we weren't going anywhere fast.
So 50 percent of the time was work and 50 percent relaxing.

I still give the ride a 10 out of 10.
I got to ride with my buddies.
We had a good meal.
We all got home safe.
I had 310 miles door to door for the day.
6.59 gals / 47 mpg... I see I get less mpg when we go on the freeways.

Great Riding With You Guys!! :icon_hat:

Thanks for all the videos!!

You can have it cheap.
You can have it fast.
You can have high quality.
PICK ANY 2....
