I want to wish everyone here at the forum a Happy Thanksgiving! What special food do you like the best? I know there are different dishes made in some areas of the country. I make a stuffing with sausage that comes out great. What is your favorite?

Two weeks to T-Day and counting.
My brother is cooking the turkey this year - I hope he does a good job!! :icon_rolleyes:
Last turkey he cooked was so dry I had to empty the gravy boat to help it out. :icon_laughing:

I could offer to do it but I'm feeling lazy this year. I'll make something to bring along.
I'll try not to eat too much :icon_redface:

I hope you all have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

My turkey is never dry - I add a stick of butter and 2 pounds of sausage in my stuffing - I baste it every 20 minutes for the last 2 hours - it has a candied browned coating over the skin and when you cut into the breast to carve it - juicy deliciousness slices off... you heard wrong. :icon_smoking:

I went to my neighbors house for Thanksgiving some years back. She had a honey baked ham & turkey. That ham was the best I ever had. Spiral sliced and candied coated.
My casserole is whatever was left over from the stuffing that didn't fit in the bird. :icon_mrgreen:

Years ago we stopped buying poultry because of the antibiotics they feed them. What we went with instead was pheasant. Chances are what we get might have the junk in them anyway, but they are much smaller birds so we won't eat as much. Plus they just plain taste better. Here's wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving too.

A deep fried turkey is hard to beat, but the cooking oil is a bit expensive. Honey baked hams are to die for.

This past Sunday the temperature was in the 20's and I saw guy on a Harley. A tip of the hat to that guy :icon_hat: .....he must be one tough rider.

I hope everyone has an enjoyable Thanksgiving.

Only 2 days to go - the bird is in the house!!

We've been having beautiful weather - 70's today - sorry I can't bottle it and send it out to you guys.

Supposed to rain Thursday night - thats about as close to snow as we get - I love it!!

I'll pop a button in your honor!! Happy Thanksgiving!
