Midnite thirty jamming home from work in my work shirt in the hot tepid air.

Navigating onto the entrance to my garage is a tricky series of "S" turns thru the vehicles while avoiding a small white fence and stopping on a dime in front of the garage door. Dirt/grass surface. I guess I was day dreaming. I coast up to the garage in neutral at a bit of a left turn angle once on the front yard grass, then stop, open door and proceed.

I thought I was in neutral, I wasn't I was in 1st so when I stopped and using the front brake, she just dove down on the non carbed side. Alls I could do was slow the decent. It was an easy pick up. Hip into the bike, right hand handle bars and left hand saddle bag guard. Love those saddle bag guards. No damage, none. Spent most of the wee hours of the morning checking over everything.

Dropped mine backing up in the grass. I slipped on some leaves while pushing off.
Your bikes got a few more pounds than mine so I feel your pain. Glade to hear there was no damage.

As coincidence/luck would happen I had just reviewed that "ride like a pro" video last week when Weljo had posted about the chick who dropped her GW. It worked no problems. Bike came right up. It was like I had dropped 20 years in age. :icon_whee:

It's not if.. but when. We all have that day, some of us not as frequently as others but it happens.
Glad to hear - neither you or the bike got hurt. I'm still sporting a spot on my right knee that healed but left me marked from my drop in January.
I love those bag guards also - not only do they keep the bike from getting hurt but they make one heck of a handle for picking it back up.

You can have it cheap.
You can have it fast.
You can have high quality.
PICK ANY 2....
