All things considered - once you give it up you'll be a victim the rest of your short life.
Right now what makes me sleep like a baby at night isn't the 95 lb. chuckle-head its the loaded shotgun in bed with me. It takes 10 minutes for an armed police response - it takes me 1 second to pull the trigger and live to talk about it - not a crime scene investigation to identify MY body with a shot dog by the front door. IF all the guns are illegal - only criminals will have them and we will be victims.
