I just completed my mandatory training for a CCW license in Wisconsin. Qualified the first time out, and got my certificate the same night. Sealed and mailed, my license to arrive in 21 days by the mandate of the law.
Gotta tell you. Most of the silhuette targets I saw on the indoor range looked like they had been riddled by shotgun shells. These people are also going to carry someday. I thought the qualification was easy, I tore one ragged hole in the 9/10 ring.
So now the Wisconsin government, the same entity that has made life interseting for me these +40 years on a bike, now has to hand me a license and let's me carry concealed.
First time, legal. My guess is that it will simply take the fun out of it...
