I really don't know why it is, but for some reason when some folks try to discuss politics or religion they can get plum stupid. On another forum (not motorcycle related), there is one guy that feels strongly compelled to point out to people that may have faith in God, that there is no god and he will not save you. Why he cares what people believe, I really don't know. Some folks think if a person does not vote for Obama, they are racist. There is no discussion about it... either you are with them or you are racist. There are some right wingers that say outragous things as well. What ends up happening is it goes from an echange of ideas to insults.

I have debated controversial subjects with people and purposely took the opposing side, just to to see why they believe what they believe. It's interesting what you will learn when you listen. Some folks just repeat what the bobbleheads are saying, but others have careful thoughtout reasons... even if they are misguided or wrong its's refreshing to know they are thinking for themselves.

More to topic... everyone needs to vote! It's highly possible we could end up with Romney and Biden...
