Good morning everyone! Hope y'all are having a good day so far..
Wanted to drop a quick note in the "On the Road Again" section with a personal "ahh-hah" riding moment I had a couple of years ago. Many of you that have been to Daytona for Bike Week or Biketoberfest probably know this route, but my brother-in-law and I made this journey for the first time back then.
In the Daytona/Ormond Beach area is a scenic route called "The Loop" and we decided to give it a shot. I have to tell you, for as much time as I had spent in Daytona the past few years this ride was a real nice surprise! There are parts of it that are S-curves then it transitions into a canopied, tree lined straight away that you wouldn't even know was there until you are in it...but what made it PERFECT was when you get to A1A and drop down by the ocean. You are on a stretch of road that has about 40 yards of beach then the water...you can hear the waves and feel the sea breeze and it is AWESOME...makes me yearn for that trip to Cali to try the Pacific coast highway as I imagine there are spots like that there as well...
Anyway, for those of you that haven't had the chance or are visiting Daytona for the first time, make sure to ride the loop...it was pretty sweet and gives you some different scenery while in town...
Take care everyone!
