Took a nice ride down the coast yesterday, stopped off to see the Tall Ships.
Here's a few pics.
They do a re-enactment of a pirate rescue for John LeFoot bordering on the comedic with guns that didn't fire and then did and props that didn't work because of the breeze. Here's a pic of the Actors.

I have more than 3 pics so here's more.
To make it easier for people to walk from one boat to the other they were docked side by side.

Here's a few more.
That's a boat load of Pirates coming to save their Captain.
And those are the British Officers right before the big battle.
Had a nice cool breeze by the water there was an era fair with hand made goods there also.

Saw some of those up close in Canada a few years back. Be nice to take a cruse on one.

Yeah Eddie, just make sure you read the fine print... Swab the decks and hoist the yard arm are part of it... LOL

Just saw this...very cool. Did they let you walk about the ship? If the did you should have efforted a mutiny, what the heck, especially if they were British union jacks they were flying. Assist the pirates after all some of us are 2 wheeled pirates,no?

Yes you could buy a ticket for $20 - all the boats were tied together so going from boat to boat was possible. The boats were smaller than the boats I imagined. Growing up back east we went to see the Constitution for a school field trip. That was a ship!! These were sail boats by comparison... but the people out here don't know the difference. We opted for a quickie look around - I snapped some pics and then we went over to the Renaissance Market to check out the "Ample Breasted Wenches"... - After all "Once A Pirate - Always A Pirate!!
