Boy, you got that right. I'm not the most pleasant person on a good day, and pretty girls and long rides are just about the only things that lighten my mood.

It is 78 degrees here now. I know that at least one more bad snow is coming, that's typical in Wisconsin. A teaser of warm spring weather, then 10 inches of snow which melts in the next day or two.

As for mood swings, that's why I have forums, the gym and target practice. I figure the best way to get rid of a headache is to give it to someone else...

Naw, you're right. I constantly have to be aware of the rigors of BPII. Why buy expensive violent video games when I can just lay back and let my mind wander...

As for Betty vs. an Electra-Glide-ish bike, you have to remember that while I've never owned a bagger, I had to tune them up, even police bikes. And while the shovel-ish Glides of yester-year have improved, so have Super Glides. I just don't like pushing around elephants, and I don't mind not having glass.

To me, a modern properly shocked Super Glide, a nice seat, a modern reliable engine and four gallons of fuel is like Heaven. But pack me in glass, isolate me from the road, pipe in music to scatter peaceful thoughts and destroy that feeling of wonderment, and you have just sentenced me to Purgatory.

I have reached an age when I can easily buy more than two Electra-Glide-ish bikes on the credit card in my jeans. Notice that I don't do it.

We just to laid back down here. We've been into the Az riding season for the last seven months. But as I told BI before I have no problem with the heat so my riding season goes for 12 month. We do get a few miserable cold rainy days here and a few miserable humid hot days here which stops us from riding but this accounts for maybe a total of a month we can't ride out of the whole year. And its broken up through out the year so we don't get locked in for more than a few days to the most a weak. I haven't said this yet but was born in Wisconsin, Neenah. I used play, go fishing and skate on Lake Winnebago. (By the way you should take BI up to the Wisconsin Dells have him take a picture with Paul Bunyan LOL). Snow is nice to visit but I will never live in it again.

Ya' know, the Dells might be just the cheesy kind of Wisconsin excursion he would enjoy! Over-priced everything--usually in melted cheese curds--maybe take him for a crappy diesel truck ride on the Ducks, chubby and/or/both fat divorcees in bulging one piece swimsuits from WWII, and more fun than you can imagine (when you realize you're leaving).

Maybe I should just shoot him with a really expensive bullet...

The Switchback is elegant. I've always liked that heavy aluminum nacel. In fact I made my 1983 FL a sirta Swicthback prototype over the years. I can ride it w/ or w/out saddle bags. I'll try to get up the 2 photo's. For some reason I cannot upload the version of the bike with the saddle bags on it.

I'm cool Eddie. Heading to NC April 5-15th for some 2 wheeled happiness, well 3 wheels actually as its my sidecar bike.

Hey tempers and emotions have flared here and thats normal given we don't live in a perfect world. No reason to ban anyone over beg to difer moments. As harley riding men I'd like to see us all be able to work thru our differences and become better for it, exuding true brotherhood in the while.

Nothing good comes of a ban for either party. We all should be able to disagree and have differents opinions w/out the drama of a kindergarten class,eh. Working thru differences and respecting the differences in my opinion is life in real time.

And your bike selection fits your lifestyle right now.

Me too about being at an age where I can own/buy whatever I want. I try to be prudent. As a consequence of that phenomenon of many owners over buying more bike than they need there hare literally hundred if not thousands of low miliage, couple year old Ultra's. So I bought 2 used ones for the price of one new one. The sidecar bike was 10 years old and only had 2172 miles on it...thats crazy. And it was 10,000$ cheaper than a new one. Same with my 200021 Ultra. It was 7 years old and only had 10,000 miles on it. Again I paid half of what a new one costs. I'm happy. Not crazy about fly by wire,96 or 103 inchs,17inch front wheel or motors tuned hot from the factory. My favorite combo would be a carbed Evo Ultra.

Compared to 30-40 years ago Harley Davidson Harleys are technologically more reliable and so many stylistic choices. I would have loved a Sportster 48 when I bought my Sportster or a fat boy low,slimline or Switchback when I upgraded.

You can have your Goldwing or Victory Vision.....
