Well it finally happened my favorite clear night glasses got sat on... Oh well it was bound to happen. I have a pair of yellow lenses that I've used in the past so I just grabbed them and went out last night.

Wow, what a difference. It was like having night vision goggles, they seemed to make everything lighter and even the dark streets were brighter. On coming traffic had a nice mellow yellow glow and all was good in the world. Why was it I stopped using them? OH YEAH, I remembered that when I would approach traffic lights they seemed to just turn from green to red without any "yellow" in between... I haven't used the yellow in a while and what was different now? Seems the street lights in my area have been changed over to yellowish bulb to save electricity and the traffic lights have been converted over to LED's. Now when approaching a traffic light the green was still green and the yellow you guessed it yellow and the red was red. The lenses didn't change everything to yellow making it indistinguishable from street lights and traffic lights. Very cool.

I was wondering if anyone else uses the yellow lenses at night and what their take on it would be.

Has anyone ever tried a yellow shield?

I wear yellow glasses at night and on cloudy days. I dont think a yellow shield would be a good choice. on clear sunny days its to much. Might be distracting

I can't remember where I got this set of glasses, they're not as yellow as the other pairs I have but they work great... I'm getting old. I hope I don't forget where I put my teeth... :icon_eek:
