Hey I need some quick help. I am installing the Screaming eagle slip-on pipes for my Sportster.... The front one went on good with a good seal where the pipe meets. When installing the second one, it seems to have a bit of a flare where connecting, is there any kind of sealant I can use? Its not bad and will be better when tightening it down but I would like a sealant for the job. What can I use? Some kind of loctite? Thank you, please help asap I want to ride still tonight.

Never mind, I got some new gaskets and it seems better.. Just on the stock gaskets it had some kind of almost mesh sealant on it almost like steel wool or something and just wondering what that is? Thanks

you pack that material around and make the gasket with it, similar to the old cast iron "bell" style soil pipes where you'd use OAKUM.

You can have it cheap.
You can have it fast.
You can have high quality.
PICK ANY 2....

When I bought my gaskets that all it was, what is the packing stuff? Unless it kinda works itself out when heated?
