Hey now RK! How's by you? I been posting up here and there over here. Checking in pretty regular.

Last year was better, this year not so much. This summer took kids and grand kids on a road trip out west. Stopping at Estes park,co/Custer,SD/Billings,MT and Cleveland, OH. Visiting the Stanley hotel,mt Rushmore, crazy horse,Little Bighorn battlefield and rock and roll hall of fame. Awsome scenery. Loved Custer, SD. Was really wanting to ride the bike but couldn't miss oportunity to show kids and grand kids the better part of our country. Lots of memories.

How bout you? What's new your way?

To expect to be perfect is unreasonable, to strive for perfection is reasonable.

Glad to hear you got a chance to spend some quality time with the family!! These are the days that matter most. Sounds like a fun time.

Just got back from a trip to Vegas -baby-. Business trip to the convention - got a chance to spend some time with the family also, was really nice, cool weather and too much food!!

Everything out this way is going OK. It's been a year of balances, loss and gain. Some fun some sad. I broke my bike racing it... got air going into 2nd and 3rd, :icon_eek: (that new cam is a monster maker) later in the day, on the way home, it started making some not good noise so, I limped it home... got the repairs planned for next week... would have done it this week but it's been f'n hotter than a sun spot out this way - over 100 all this week. Probably just the primary chain tensioner but I won't know till I pop it open. Tomorrow it will be 22 years ago that I bought this bike- she's a keeper!!

Stay well and keep safe.
RK

When I got my !3 and 14 Softail Haritage, they came with a small container of leather treatment. I use it on all of the leather on the bikes to include my '05 1200 Custom. I treat the leather twice a year and all of the leather looks as new as the day they were made.

Harley seats are not leather since the seventies, they are vinyl. The only ones that might have skins are the CVO

I got turned on to Doc Bailey's Leather Black for my seat and leather saddlebags back in '05 and I've been using it ever since. I like it, cleans the vinyl and leather, seals the stitched seams, and blackens the places on the leather where the dye was rubbing off. Works for me.
